Ethics & Integrity
Ethics Committee
SWISS UMEF places integrity, transparency, and respect at the core of its academic mission. The Ethics Committee ensures that ethical principles guide teaching, research, and institutional life.
Committee Mission
-
Prevent and manage conflicts of interest.
-
Review issues related to academic and research integrity.
-
Safeguard the rights and dignity of students, faculty, and staff.
-
Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
-

Meetings
The Ethics Committee meets at least twice a year (June and December). Extraordinary meetings may be convened whenever specific issues require immediate attention.
Annual Report
Each year, a public report is published, presenting:
-
The number of meetings held.
-
The key themes discussed (e.g. academic integrity, plagiarism prevention, equality).
-
The recommendations adopted.
Meeting Minutes
Detailed minutes remain confidential to protect sensitive data. However, summary reports are published to keep the academic community informed of the main topics discussed.
Submitting Complaints and Reports
Any student, faculty member, or staff may submit a complaint or report to the Ethics Committee:
-
Dedicated email: sa@swiss-umef.ch
All cases are handled with confidentiality and within reasonable timeframes.
Gender Pay Equality
SWISS UMEF’s remuneration policy is based on fixed salary scales by job category. This ensures that women and men receive the same salary for equivalent positions and responsibilities.
As a result, the gender pay gap within our institution is zero.
