Fees structure:

One of the core values of SWISS UMEF is to enable every motivated candidate to have access to higher education. Hence, we maintain accessible study fees for all.

Swiss nationals and residents may request payment facilities should they be able to offer solid guarantees.

Refundable fees:

For candidates who couldn’t acquire a student visa, the fees (except the registration fee of 150.00 francs) will be refunded within 45 days. However, proof of rejection of their visa application must be provided.

For candidates who have received a visa but are unable to attend the courses in Geneva, the fees will be refunded as per the contractual clause.

Refund Policies:

International students - Prior to their arrival in Geneva:​​

  1. Following a visa rejection: the student will receive full reimbursement of the school fees.

  2. Lack of reply from the Swiss authorities: if the student withdraws the application prior to the decision by the Swiss authorities, s/he will be reimbursed fully for the school fees paid.

  3. After having obtained a visa: no reimbursement will be made after the student has obtained his visa. Swiss authorities will be informed that the schooling contract has been cancelled.

Local students and international students after the first year of studies:

  1. If the student wants to stop his/her studies, s/he must inform the university 60 days before the official start of the new academic semester/year. In this case, 100% (hundred percent) of the academic year fee will be reimbursed.

  2. If the student informs the SWISS UMEF between the 31st and the 59th day prior to the start of the new academic semester/year, 50% (fifty percent) of the academic year fee will be reimbursed.

  3. If the student informs the SWISS UMEF between the 16th and the 30th day before the start of the new academic semester/year, 25% (twenty-five percent) of the academic year fee will be reimbursed.

  4. If the student informs the SWISS UMEF 15 days or less or after the start of the new academic semester/year, no reimbursement will be made.
