Youth Engagement in Politics: An Inspiring Seminar

On 3 October 2023, SWISS UMEF had the honour of hosting Mr Jean-Marc Guinchard, a member of the Grand Council and former President of the Grand Council of Geneva, for an inspiring seminar on youth involvement in politics. This event, titled "Youth Politics: New Leaders, New Perspectives", highlighted the growing importance of active participation by young people in today's political landscape.

Mr Guinchard shared his experience and insights on the role of young people as political leaders, addressing topics such as the influence of social media, youth-led political initiatives, and the challenges they face in an ever-changing political environment. The seminar provided participants with the opportunity to explore how young people can not only contribute to the political process but also shape the future through their engagement and innovative ideas.

This event was well-received by participants, who appreciated the depth of the discussions and the opportunity to interact with a key figure in Geneva's politics. SWISS UMEF is proud to support and promote youth political engagement by organising educational events that encourage active participation and leadership.
